VIII. THE MASTER'S ADVERTISING / PUBLIC RELATIONS / MARKETING POLICY

In the modern world in which we live, the Masters of the Hunt would like to educate the membership on the correct way to promote the Hunt. In general, our policy is that the Masters want to be able to decide in advance whether or not to be included in any type of publication. The "less is more" rule applies here.

We are a not for profit corporation and we do not want our sport, likeness of hounds or staff presented in any type of commercial way. If you want to write an article about the Hunt please present this opportunity to the Masters who will then give you permission, or not. The Masters usually are in favor of some limited publicity around Opening Meet or the Iroquois. If a tea host wants to invite a "society type" of person from that type of publication, then that is their choice. Otherwise, please present all opportunities to the Masters in advance.

Our sport is under constant attack from anti-hunting groups. We want to make as small of a footprint as possible. We want to quietly attract fox hunting enthusiasts and like minded conservationists but not the attention of the anti-hunters. 16

We want to promote our area as a conservation area in and around the Cornersville and Lynnville areas of Southern Middle Tennessee. We do not want to promote the area as "Hunt Country" so as not to purposely attract detractors to our sport.

Commercial photography of any sort must be approved by the Masters in advance.
